Membership
Membership is open to women who are self-employed and/or small business owners. Chapters may widen the definition of membership for their individual
chapter to include:
- Business Service Representatives (i.e., Employees of organizations)
- Multi-level marketing organizations, provided that any, and all, presentations to the group are restricted to product or service information only.
(Soliciting BWNA members to recruit sales associates is not permitted.)
To ensure the full benefit of providing networking opportunities for our membership, each member must not compete directly with one another in each
chapter. When you join, you hold one membership category. We recognize, however, that today most women do more than one thing. You may talk about your other
activities during normal networking, but when you join in a category, that's how your formal introduction must remain. If your business changes from the
category you originally joined under, you may reapply for another open category and give up your original category. We just want to be fair to everyone.
- Existing members can reject new applicants if they feel that they would be competing against the new applicant.
- The executive will be consulted in cases where there is any perceived conflict.
Membership Fees
Membership Fees are set annually, pro-rated for new members joining after January.
